Privacy Policy
How WRLDU handles data, cookies, and third-party advertising, and the choices you have.
Who we are
WRLDU (wrldu.com) is a free internet speed test and network tools website. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site. For any privacy question, contact rafeleiffel1802@gmail.com.
Information we process
We do not require visitors to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, address, or payment details to use the speed test or the tools.
- Speed test and tool data: your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), and the measurements produced by the test (download, upload, ping, jitter) are processed so the test can run and results can be shown to you.
- Third-party test endpoints: the speed test transfers data with, and measures latency to, public endpoints operated by third parties such as Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services. Like any website you visit, those providers can see your IP address when your browser connects to them, and handle it under their own privacy policies.
- IP lookup features: when you use IP or ISP detection, your IP address may be looked up against third-party IP intelligence data to display your approximate location, ISP, and network.
- Contact messages: if you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and we use it only to reply.
- Server logs: our hosting provider and content delivery network may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, time, and requested page) for security and reliability.
How we use information
We use this information to operate and secure the website, to produce and display your test results, to understand which pages are useful, to answer your messages, and to show advertising that helps cover our costs. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
WRLDU uses a small amount of browser storage for functional settings, such as your theme choice and your cookie notice choice. We also use third-party services:
- Google Analytics: collects aggregated usage information (such as pages viewed and approximate region) to help us understand how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser.
- Google AdSense: third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to WRLDU and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- To learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
How long we keep data
We keep technical logs and any contact emails only as long as needed for security, troubleshooting, and answering your request. Analytics and advertising data held by Google is governed by Google's own retention policies.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email rafeleiffel1802@gmail.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time, or use browser privacy tools and ad settings to limit tracking. Blocking cookies will not stop the speed test from working.
Children's privacy
WRLDU is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and international transfers
We use HTTPS to protect data in transit and take reasonable steps to protect the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our hosting provider and the third-party services listed above may process data in countries other than your own.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
